Target Gives $5,000 Grant to East Windsor Township

East Windsor Township Janice S. Mironov announced that East Windsor Township received a $5,000 Crime Prevention grant from Target for National Night Out.  Target offers grant opportunities to help support the safety and preparedness of local communities. Target has an East Windsor store located in the East Windsor Village Shopping Center on Princeton-Hightstown Road.

The grant funds were used to sponsor National Night Out held at the East Windsor Police Athletic League fields on August 2, 2011. The event, which was attended by over 2,000 people, demonstrates the commitment of East Windsor Township in promoting a cooperative partnership between police, local government and citizens to vigilance and crime prevention throughout the East Windsor community.

Mayor Mironov stated, “We greatly appreciate the generous $5,000 grant provided by Target for National Night Out, as well as their other donations toward the evening.  Target is a great local supporter of our community, and their $5,000 grant award resulted in a great fun National Night Out event in furtherance of community solidarity on behalf of crime prevention and education.”
