Author Dr. Janet Rosenzweig has traveled around the country working with parents, professionals and community leaders concerned about protecting children from sexual abuse. Children who communicate regularly with their parents about sex are less likely to become the victim of a pedophile or be influenced by the media’s perceptions of sex and sexuality.

Dr. Rosenzweig will present a workshop at the Hickory Corner Library on October 25th at 7 pm. This workshop will help parents answer kid’s questions about sex and abuse and explain what kids need to know to stay sexually safe and healthy. Copies of her book, The-Sex-Wise Parent, will be available for purchase through The Friends of the Hickory Corner Library.  Registration required.
