A car struck a utility pole on Etra Road in East Windsor.

A portion of Etra Road was closed in both directions Saturday afternoon after a car hit a pole.
Smoke was seen coming from the top of the utility pole, and Etra Road was closed at Disbrow Hill Road in East Windsor. Wires were also down, according to police at the scene.
Jersey Central Power & Light arrived around 2:30 p.m. and there were no outages reported in East Windsor.
Police did not immediately return a call Saturday afternoon.

Seems pretty cut and dry....excessive speed around the "S" curve. Locals know enough to go slow through there. Even when I had my motorcycle, it was a slow go around that turn in either direction.
