Michael L. Block, 66, of Roosevelt died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at New York Medical Center. Born in the Bronx, NY; he was a lifetime resident of Roosevelt. Michael was the co-owner of East Windsor Floor Covering, which was founded in 1955 by his father. He was a 1965 graduate of Hightstown High School and was a member of Congregation Anshei in Roosevelt and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve.

Michael was predeceased by his parents, Abraham and Pearl Block. He is survived by his wife, Linda; two children, Joseph and his wife, Mary Ann, and Amy Bright and her husband Yves; six grandchildren, Alissa, Nick, Adam, Gabrielle, Dakota and Ashton, two brothers, Marvin and his wife, Karen, and Bruce and his wife, Irene; one sister, Sharon Reiter, and her husband, Irwin; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 22, at Congregation Anshei, 18 Homestead Lane, Roosevelt, NJ 08555. Burial will follow in Roosevelt Cemetery. A period of mourning will be held immediately following the burial at 24 Lake Drive, Roosevelt. Donations in Michael's name would be appreciated to any cancer organization or charity of your choice .
