East Windsor Food Drive Has Two Weeks Remaining

Non-perishable food will be collected through Jan. 31.

There is two weeks left for East Windsor Township's New Year's Food Drive. Non-perishable food will be collected through Jan. 31 and donated to RISE food pantry and the Green House Food Pantry.

"As the holiday season and its special focus on good deeds passes, we want to remind everyone that the need for assistance to people in our area continues, and call upon our community’s proven spirit of generosity," Mayor Janice Mironov said in a news release.

Donations can be dropped off at the East Windsor Municipal Building during business hours, or at the police department and East Windsor Rescue Squad #2 at any time.

"Typically, we understand that donations drop off after the holidays, and we hope that this special effort will help feed area people," Mironov said.

This used to be a joint effort between the mayors of East Windsor and Hightstown... what happened? I know borough hall is out of order, but it would be nice to see the borough participate in the food drive using other drop-off sites.
