Gov. Chris Christie Holds Town Hall Meeting in Freehold [VIDEO]
Here are video clips from the governor's Q&A session at the National Guard Armory in Freehold on Friday.
The National Guard Armory in Freehold was packed to capacity for the Town Hall meeting with Gov. Chris Christie Friday.
The session provide residents with an opportunity to ask the governor about subjects ranging from the effects of flooding after Hurricane Irene, the New Jersey Supreme Court and national issues. One boy in the crowd asked whether or not the governor would run for another four-year term. Christie said he was still considering that.
Christie told the audience that he decided to host town hall style meetings when he became governor because he felt it was the only way to truly speak directly with state residents.
“When I was first elected to governor, I told my staff we've got to come up with a way to communicate with the people in a way that isn’t filtered... So we decided to do this,” he said.
