When were you established?
Preschool started in July 1993

What is the primary goal of the organization? 
With a loving, caring and nurturing environment, we provide education and socialization for the preschool-age child. 

What is the history of the preschool? 
The preschool is located in the education wing of Beth El Synagogue. Even though we are located in a Synagogue, our school is open to children of all ethnic and religious backgrounds. We have families from Brazil, Germany, India, Ukrane and Mexico. The Preschool was originated with Sharon Alaimo and Hyla Nusbaum as co-directors. Our program is hands-on where the children learn by touching, building and experiencing. 

What are you most known for?
Our flexibility. We will always work with our parents to find a program suitable for their child. We cater to the needs of the child and the parent. Full days, half days, or anything in between ... we will work to make sure our families are happy.

What do you do that separates you from your competition?
We are not rigid ... we are open and flexible. We do not demand that a child be toilet trained when entering our two year old class or our three year old class. By the time the child is three-and-a-half, we do ask that the parent train the child, but we will never request that a child leave because they are not yet trained. 

Tell us about yourself?
Sharon Alaimo retired in July 2011 and Dina Fisher became director of the preschool. Dina has two children, resides in South Brunswick and shares the philosophy of our preschool. One of her greatest assets is her commitment to communicate with parents. She will make sure that your child is happy and comfortable in the preschool. She will sit with the children, converse with them, play with them and then share pictures with the parents via email.

Ellen Botwin has been the office administrator for 17 years. She resides in West Windsor and has two children. Her son David is in the U.S. Navy and her daughter, Samantha, is in nursing school. In addition to being office administrator, Ellen teachers the "Mommy & Me" class, is the music director for the preschool and writes many original songs for the children to enjoy.

Anything else you’d like to let the community know? 
We offer preschool classes for the two- to five-year-old child. We also offer kindergarten enrichment program for our five-year-olds that are currently in half day public kindergarten. Free busing from and to the Rogers and Black schools in East Windsor. Many of our parents send their child to our full day kindergarten enrichment class instead of public kindergarten.

We offer enrichment classes such as soccer, science, cooking, Spanish, etc. We offer "Mommy & Me" classes for children between the ages of 18 to 30 months. 

The average length of time our teachers have been with the preschool is 11 years. We provide an environment that makes our parents, children and staff happy.
