Non-stop Flights from Trenton-Mercer Airport to Orlando to Start
A special ticket price will be offered through Aug. 11.
Nonstop flights to Orlando from Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing will start Nov. 16 on Frontier Airlines, according to the county executive.
Tickets will be available through Aug. 11 for as low as $69 to celebrate the new flight, according to a news release. The flight will be on an 138-seat plane that includes television service, stretch seating and other flight options.
“This is an exciting development for our region,” Mercer County Executive Brian Hughes said in the release. “More than any other destination, residents of Mercer County have made it clear to me that Orlando tops their list, and I am so pleased that we are able to deliver.”
Frontier serves about 80 U.S. cities in addition to Costa Rica, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica and Mexico.
“With rapidly increasing passenger numbers in this region, we know consumers are clamoring for an alternative to metropolitan Philadelphia International and Newark-Liberty airports,” Hughes said.
Streamline Airlines also currently offers a non-stop flight to Boston from Trenton-Mercer Airport.

That is a great, big deal. Mercer County Airport's roots are steeped in history. GM's Eastern Aircraft Division shipped Grumman Avenger torpedo bombers from their factory just across Parkway Avenue during World War II. Would that additional flights be made possible from this gem of a regional airport.
