Police Blotter: Area Man Charged With Burglary, Thefts Reported
The following arrest information was supplied by the police departments of East Windsor Township Hightstown Borough. It does not indicate a conviction.
Police reported three theft-related incidents this week.
Police Say Man Tried to Run Away With Stolen Items
Claudio Ramiro-Collaguazo Conde, 22, of Windsor Castle, East Windsor, was charged June 19 with burglary and theft of moveable property.
Hightstown Police said they noticed a vehicle door open within the borough parking lot while on patrol, identified the owner and found items had been stolen from the vehicle. The police department is housed next to the lot.
Police said that during the investigation they saw someone running from the area with the missing items. After a short chase, police said they apprehended Conde and the items. He was sent to the Mercer Adult Correction Center in lieu of $15,000 bail, with no option to post 10 percent for release.
iPad Reported Stolen
Hightstown Police said they responded to the 100 block of South Main Street at 2:54 a.m. June 21 to take a theft report. The victim told police they had left an Apple iPad tablet computer on top of a vehicle and returned to find it missing. The iPad and case had a combined value of $835, according to police. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact police at 609-448-1234.
Police Seek Gas Siphoner
A victim told Hightstown Police someone siphoned gasoline from vehicles on the victim’s property in various incidents between May 11 and June 21. Anyone with information on any of the incidents is asked to contact police at 609-448-1234.
Bike Reported Stolen
A Probasco Road, East Windsor resident told East Windsor Police someone stole her $159 Mongooose bicycle between 10:15 p.m. June 16 and 7:30 a.m. June 17. Police said the bike was left unlocked overnight on the front porch.
