Police Blotter: Stolen Property, DWI, Drugs and Harassment

The following arrest information was supplied by the police department of East Windsor Township. It does not indicate a conviction.

East Windsor Police received several reports of stolen property and made several DWI arrests this week, among other activity.

Children's Bicycles Reported Stolen

Police said two children's bicycles were reported stolen from the Westfield Avenue park at 7:49 p.m. July 14. They were parked unsecured on the sidewalk adjacent to the park. Each bicycle was worth $70, police said.

Wallet Reported Stolen From Car

A resident reported that his wallet was stolen from his vehicle parked on Abbington Drive between 5:30 p.m. July 14 and 9 a.m. July 15. Police said the vehicle was unsecured and a wallet containing $30 cash and several credit cards were stolen. Police said several fraudulent credit card charges were later discovered.  The incident is under investigation.

IPad Reported Stolen from Vehicle
Police said an iPad worth $925 was reported stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in Town Center Plaza July 10. Police said device was left on the front seat and it was taken between 6:30 and 7 p.m.

Princeton Woman Faces DWI, Other Charges

Ellen McKinley, 57, of Princeton, was charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and careless driving, failure to maintain lane, DWI in a school zone, tailgating and obstructing traffic at 9:41 p.m. July 17.

Police said a 2006 Mercury was seen driving in an erratic manner on Route 33 West. Police said they smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, McKinley, whose eyes were bloodshot and watery. Police said she failed field sobriety tests, was charged and released pending court action.

Man Charged With DWI, Multiple Traffic Offenses      

Josue Negron-Camacho, 29, of Allentown, Pennsylvania, was charged with driving while intoxicated, recklness driving, careless driving, speeding, failure to observe a stop sign, failure to maintain lane, failure to signal, traveling the wrong way on a roadway and failure to wear a seatbelt on July 16.

Police said a 2006 Mazda was seen speeding on Hickory Corner Road eastbound at 1:57 a.m. and continued to move in an erratic manner until it was stopped near Oak Creek Road. Police said there was an odor of alcohol on the driver's breath and he failed field sobriety tests.  Negron-Camacho was charged and released pending court action.

Township Man Charged with Shoplifting, Warrants

Christopher R. Giaquinto, 41, a resident of The Orchard apartments, was charged with shoplifting July 18.

Police responded to Walmart at 1:13 p.m. for a report of a shoplifter in custody.  Store personnel told police they had seen Giaquinto concealing $40 worth of cologne and leaving the store without paying for it.  Police found he also had three outstanding warrants for his arrest.  He was charged and later turned over to the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office on the warrants. 

Township Man Charged With Harassment, Obstruction

Carlos Andres Andrade, 25, of Twin Rivers Drive North, was charged with harassment and obstructing justice July 18. 

Officers responded to a Twin Rivers Drive North address for a report of a family altercation at 5:20 p.m.  Police said Andrade held the door closed and would not allow the victim and police into the residence.  Police said Andrade ran toward the rear of the residence, refusing orders to stop, and physically resisted arrest until he was brought under control.  He was charged and later released pending court action. 

Township Man Charged With Drug Possession

Edison Guzhnay, 18, of Maxwell Avenue, was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana and possession in a motor vehicle at 7:47 p.m. on July 19.

Police responded to the parking lot of Windsor Regency for a report of possible drug activity and smelled burnt marijuana coming from a 2000 Toyota parked there. Police found a partially smoke marijuana cigarette on Guzhnay, who was in the driver's seat. He was charged and released pending court action.

Bordentown Man Charged With DWI

  James Pleva, 44, of Bordentown, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, unsafe lane change, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lamps July 20.

Police said a 2010 Kia driving in an erratic manner was seen headed south at 12:25 a.m. on Route 130 near Hickory Corner Road. Police said they smelled alcohol on the breath of the driver, Pleva. He failed field sobriety tests and was charged with DWI and released pending court action.
