Police Find Bottle of Oxy in Car During Routine Stop

East Windsor police arrested a Westampton man after a bottle of oxycodone was found in his car during a motor vehicle stop.

A bottle of Oxycodone pills was found in a car searched by East Windsor police after an odor of marijuana was detected following a motor vehicle stop on the evening of Friday, April 26.

Ptl. Joseph Amejka of the East Windsor Police Department pulled over a 1990 Toyota traveling south on Route 130 for a faulty brake light. While Amejka was speaking with the occupants of the car an odor of marijuana emanated from the vehicle prompting a search, according to police. After searching the car, a bottle containing Oxycodone pills was discovered without a prescription.

Tehsard Turnbull, 30, of Westampton, was arrested and charged with possession of prescription legend drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintenance of lamps, unlicensed driver, possession of controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, and failure to surrender drivers license. Turnbull also had an outstanding warrant against him in the amount of $480 out of Delanco. He was released pending court.
