U.S. Women's National Team goalkeeper Hope Solo caused a stir this weekend after criticizing U.S. soccer legend Brandi Chastain.

Chastain was doing the commentary for the team’s second Olympic game against Columbia (they won 3-0) when she allegedly criticized the team’s defense.

Solo took offense to the comments after the game and immediately took to twitter.

“Its 2 bad we cant have commentators who better represents the team&knows more about the game @brandichastain!
#fb” she tweeted.

And

“Lay off commentating about defending and gking until you get more educated @brandichastain the game has changed from a decade ago. #fb”

And then this

“feel bad 4 our fans that have 2 push mute, especially bc @arlowhite
is fantastic.@brandichastain should be helping 2
grow the sport #fb.”

Given that Chastain is a soccer icon and helped lead the women’s team to its first and only World Cup (she’s the one who ripped her shirt off and celebrated in her sports bra) and that she was in the position of commentator, do you think Solo was out of line?

The squad plays again on Tuesday against North Korea in Manchester.
