Duo Charged with Shoplifting from East Windsor Target
The woman allegedly stole four video game controllers; her companion reportedly stole merchandise from the same store earlier in the week.
Shanna Biesterfeld and William Klix were charged with shoplifting, obstructing justice and hindering apprehension in connection with the incident.
On the evening of Jan. 8, Target employees reportedly saw Biesterfeld, 24, cut merchandise from its original packaging, place the items into her bag, and then leave the store.
Responding police officers located Biesterfeld outside of the store and she was found to be in possession of four stolen Playstation controllers valued at $219.65. She was arrested and later released pending court action, police reported.
Biesterfeld's male companion, Klix, provided police with a false name. Once police revealed Klix's true identity, it was discovered that he had allegedly stolen from the same Target location earlier in the week.
Klix also had outstanding warrants out of Jackson Township. He was arrested by Jackson Police on the outstanding warrants and while he was remanded in Ocean County Jail he was served with his complaint out of East Windsor.
