The Cheesecake Factory to Open Sept. 19

The restaurant, which is part of a major facelift at the Quaker Bridge Mall, will open on Sept. 19.

The Cheesecake Factory will open its doors at the Quaker Bridge Mall on Wednesday, Sept. 19, the company has confirmed.

With room to accommodate 293 diners, the new Cheesecake Factory in Lawrence will also feature a 200-item menu, plus a bakery and bar.

The new restaurant will be built along the west (Route 1) side of the mall adjacent to the mall entrance located between the Macy’s and J.C. Penney department stores. It will stand on the side of the entrance opposite from the Lawrence Grill.

This will be the restaurant chain's eighth New Jersey location and includes an 8,644 square foot dining room and a 1,517 square foot patio, the company said on Wednesday. It will accommodate 293 guests. It's expected that the restaurant will bring 268 new jobs to the area.

In addition to The Cheesecake Factory, several other retailers are joining the mall including Michael Kors, Sephora, Sur La Table, Pandora, Teavana, H&M, Ann Taylor, and Brighton Collectables.

The restaurant will be open the following hours beginning Sept. 19: Monday – Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

"In addition to The Cheesecake Factory, several other retailers are joining the mall including Michael Kors, Sephora, Sur La Table, Pandora, Teavana, H&M, Ann Taylor, and Brighton Collectables."

Compare these retailers to the stores coming to (and already at) Brunswick Square Mall in East Brunswick- ie: The Tilted Kilt (Hooters by another name). What is it about East Brunswick and Route 18 that keeps even the slightly better stores away?
