A summary of last week in the Hightstown East Windsor Youth Baseball League.
Update – Week ending 4/23/10
- Cal Ripken T-BALL
The J. Russo Pavers’ Blue Bombers played the Reflections Hair and Nail Salon Bears in a 15-15 tie. The Blue Bombers were helped by the bat and gloves of Tucker DeBruyn and Dylan Ciffrodelli. Meanwhile, the Bears had the three grand slams with Amy Warsaw and Matthew Rodgers and they were assisted in the field by Sean Alhadef and Phillip Reed.
The Dom's Service Center Red Ninjas and Reflections Hair & Nail Studio Bears played to an 18-18 tie. For the Ninjas, Jason Capre and Izzy Vargas supplied some big hits while Jason Shumsky dazzled in the field. The Bears were led by the offense of Kevin Clarke and Thomas Anzardo and solid defense by Matthew Rogers.

The J.E.Movers Vipers played in Hamilton on April 16. The cold morning equated to a cold start for the Vipers, with Hamilton taking an 8-0 lead in the first inning. Bbut the Vipers soon warmed up, initiated by a homerun over the left center field fence by Hunter Jackman-Hulick. Frank Barzda and Mike Hayden both pitched solid innings preventing more runs, while Zack Serra, Nick Colie, and Kevin Seng all hit singles multiple times to help bring the game to a 8-6 final score after two hours of play.
