Three Local Technical Students Earn Scholarships

The three, from East Windsor and Hightstown, are receiving some of $16,000 from Career Development Awards.

Fourteen students from Mercer County Technical Schools, including two from Hightstown and one from East Windsor, recently received $1,000 scholarships from Career Development Awards. Four of the students, two from the area, were also recipients of various memorial scholarships in the amount of $500 each.

Career Development Awards (CDA) is a non-profit organization which provides scholarships to students attending two-year educational institutions or technical programs. The awards are granted yearly to students who will be continuing their studies in such diverse fields as culinary arts, cosmetology, graphic design and health care. The winners were honored at a ceremony at the Chauncey Conference Center.
