In the past members of the congregation have travelled to Guatemala to provide dental treatments, food, clothing and necessities to to families in this very needy part of the world. Tickets must be purchased in advance, $50, Friday and Saturday, seating begins at 6:30 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m.
Let's Hear It for the Girls, a concert at First Baptist Church in Hightstown to benefit the New Life Center Foundation. NLCF rescues women in Thailand from the sex trade, trafficking, and forced labor. Enjoy songs from favorite Broadway shows such as Carousel, My Fair Lady, and Wicked. $12 Friday at 7 p.m. Saturday at 3 p.m.
The Pennington Players will tell the story of Helen Keller’s triumph over seemingly insurmountable obstacles in the play “The Miracle Worker” at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors, and $12 for students and children.
Mercer County Community College celebrates Black History Month. On Saturday, the college presents “1960 Black,” a play looking at one of the most influential decades in African-American history, Kelsey Theatre, $5, Saturday at 2 p.m.
