Weekend Guide: Central Jersey Choral Society Performance
Children's event at the Library, musical performances, an open house and a banquet.
On Saturday the Central Jersey Choral Society will present their performance titled "We Praise Thee: Works of Haydn and Bruckner." The group will be singing the Haydn “Te Deum and Mass for St Nicholas,” and Bruckner's “Te Deum” and his motet “Locus Iste.”
The performance will take place from 2:30 to 4 p.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in East Windsor. Tickets cost $20 per person, $15 for seniors and students.
Friday, Jan. 27:
- Young children and their caregivers are invited to Music with Kim Yarson at the Hightstown Memorial Branch of the Mercer County Library. The program begins at 10:30 a.m. and registration is required.
- The band FarCry will perform starting at 9 p.m. at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown. There is no cover charge.
- From 10 p.m. to 1:30 a.m., DJ Speed will be playing music at City Streets Café in East Windsor. There is no cover charge.
Saturday, Jan. 28:
- The Hightstown Memorial Branch of the Mercer County Library is hosting an English as a Second Language class from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- The East Windsor PAL Travel Lacrosse Program will hold indoor practice at Hightstown High School from 1 to 8 p.m. You must be registered to participate.
Sunday, Jan. 29:
- The Hightstown-East Windsor Historical Society’s annual banquet will be held at the Longstreet Library at the Peddie School at 1 p.m. A buffet lunch will be served. Tickets are $35.
