Weekend Guide: Hightstown Farmers' Market Opens for Summer

Knit in public, meditation and music.

 

The Hightstown Farmers’ Market will begin its season at Highstown Memorial Park from 4 to 8 p.m., and will run on Fridays through Sept. 28.

The first day will include a performance by the Highs Tones at 6 p.m. Enjoy the fun atmosphere of this unique community event by the lake while supporting local farms and businesses.

The market will include live music and fresh goods sold by market vendors. Paddle boat rides in Peddie Lake will also be available for $2 per person.

Friday, June 8:

  • Hickory Corner Branch of the Mercer County Library will hold an Introduction to E-Books class at 10 a.m. Call the branch at 609-448-1330 or click here to register.

Saturday, June 9:

  • The Twin Rivers Branch of the Mercer County Library will participate in World Wide Knit in Public week at 9:30 a.m. If you like to knit, crochet, embroider or needlepoint, go to the library this week and work on your craft.
  • An Art of Living: Mind & Meditation Workshop will take place at the Hickory Corner Branch of the Mercer County Library at 2 p.m. Call 609-448-1330 to register.
  • The rock and roll band Take Cover will perform at the Station Bar and Grill, beginning at 8 p.m.
