Weekend Guide: Mercer County Community College Production of "The Pirates of Penzance"
Coffeehouse, musical performances, winery open house
Mercer County Community College's Kelsey Theatre and PinnWorth Productions will present Gilbert & Sullivan's musical "The Pirates of Penzance." The recording for the production was produced by MCCC Entertainment Technology students.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $16 for senior citizens and $14 for children and students. The show will run at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. on Sunday. The production will be performed again next weekend from Jan. 20 through Jan. 22.
Friday, Jan. 13:
- Hightstown High School Music Boosters presents a coffeehouse fundraiser at the High School featuring performances by students from many of the music classes. The program will run from 7 to 9 p.m.
- The band KickBack will play from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. at the Station Bar & Grill. There is no cover charge.
- The band Jersey SureCats will play rock and roll music at City Streets Cafe in East Windsor from 9:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. There is no cover charge.
Saturday, Jan. 14:
- Silver Decoy Winery will host an open house featuring wine, music, treats and relaxation from noon to 5 p.m. Admission is $5 and includes a complementary wine glass.
Sunday, Jan. 15:
- The Gourgaud Gallery at Cranbury Town Hall will present the third annual "January Open Call for Artists" exhibit from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
