Weekend Guide: Hightstown Family 5K
Sing-along at Hightstown Library, Movie at the Market cancelled and benefit yard sale.
The Hightstown Family 5K will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday at Rocky Brook Park. The run begins in Historic Hightstown, goes around two parks and through the Greenway, finishing with a downhill course.
The cost is $25 on race day, and registration will be from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
Friday, June 22:
- Tonight's Movie at the Market in Hightstown has been canceled due to weather, and will be rescheduled for later in the summer.
- The Hightstown Memorial Branch will host a Pat McKinley Sing-Along, beginning at 11:30 a.m. Young children and their caregivers are invited to hear McKinley's gentle and fun guitar music.
Saturday, June 23:
- Mount Olivet Baptist Church will present a screening of the film Prince Among Slaves, beginning at 2 p.m. The film will be followed by a discussion and pot-luck dinner.
- A multi-family Yard Sale to Benefit Arlene Comisky will be held from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Comisky's Greenhouses. Comisky is a 71-year-old widow who suffered a stroke last August.
