Weekend Guide: "Stuff the Truck" and Help Neighbors
Halloween parties, musical performances and Fun House open house.
Patch is teaming up with Rise and ShopRite to challenge the community to "Stuff the Truck" full of non-perishable items.
The food drive will be held Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Food needed includes cereal, peanut butter, jelly, pasta, sauces, beans, soup and stuffing.
ShopRite is providing a box truck and space in its parking lot, and Patch and Rise will provide the manpower. What we need from the community is food.
Friday, Oct. 28
- The Station Bar and Grill in Cranbury will be hosting a free Halloween party from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. featuring prizes, costumes, and music all night long.
- The band Montrose Freight Yard will be playing a live show with no cover at Tavern on the Lake in Hightstown at 9 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 29
- At noon, Silver Decoy Winery in East Windsor is hosting a Happy Hallo-Wine event featuring barrel sampling hourly, grilled food, cider and doughnuts and music. Visitors get to keep a complimentary wine glass.
- Halloween stories will be told at the Parsonage Barn at Cranbury Neck Rd & S Main St. The event is free, and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
- The band White Noise will perform live at Tavern on the Lake at 9 p.m. There is no cover charge for this event.
Sunday, Oct. 30
- The Hightstown Police Department is hosting an Open house Safety Event at the Fun House in Hightstown. The open house is free, open to the public, and begins at 11 a.m. Wear a costume and get a Birthday kid free or 10% off our Group Fun package.
- East Windsor Fire Company #2 is holding a free halloween party for the community. The party is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and there will be food, music, a costume parade and fire truck rides.
