atre is located on Mercer's West Windsor campus\, 1200 Old Trenton Road.
\nSix contributing choreographers\, including MCCC faculty members\, alu
mni and a current student\, will blend their talents for a performance t
hat will incorporate a variety of modern and international dance styles
as it celebrates the body in motion. Approximately 13 pieces will be per
formed.\nAdding the international element to this year's performance wil
l be Latin American tango\, choreographed by MCCC's Theatre/Dance Progra
m Coordinator Jody Person. A professional tango dancer\, Person has foun
d this highly stylized dance form to be very helpful in teaching acting
skills to his students.\nPerson notes that MCCC Theater students learn h
ow to tango during their first acting class. &nbsp\;"It helps them be cl
earer with their intentions\, improve coordination\, and develop a stron
ger understanding of posture as they learn to follow and lead\," he expl
ains.\nHe adds that through tango\, students become more used to physica
l contact with their acting partners\, while developing a sense of spati
al awareness on stage. They also learn to play with and alter rhythms\,
which is very useful in line delivery. "Tango forces the performer to ma
ke creative choices very quickly. Actors have to get use to making quick
creative decisions when they are auditioning for roles\," Person says.\
nIn addition to Person\, choreographers for the show include faculty mem
ber Janell Byrne\, MCCC Dance alumni Jennifer Gladney\, Rebecca Brodowsk
i and Kaitlyn Seitz\, and current student Stephanie Maher.\nTickets are
 $16 for adults\, $14 for seniors\, and $12 for students.&nbsp\; Tickets

ey Theatre box office\, or by phone at 609-570-3333.&nbsp\; Free parking

ccessible and provides assisted listening devices upon request.\nThe MCC
C Dance program includes the study of jazz\, ballet\, and modern dance s
tyles from the fundamentals to advanced instruction.&nbsp\; With the ben
efit of small classes and individualized instruction\, students may earn
either an A.A. degree\, which prepares them for transfer as juniors int
o a bachelor of arts program in Dance\, or an A.F.A. degree in the Perfo
rming Arts\, a transfer program in which they combine conservatory train
ing in theatre\, dance and music with education in the liberal arts and
