DESCRIPTION:Maurer Productions Onstage will take audiences back to a time
  when beautiful music\, colorful costumes and screwball comedy were the 
 height of entertainment with the &ldquo\;The Drowsy Chaperone&rdquo\; at
  Mercer County Community College&rsquo\;s Kelsey Theatre.&nbsp\; Dates a
 nd times for this Tony Award-winning show are: Fridays\, June 8 and 15 a
 t 8 p.m.\; Saturdays\, June 9 and 16 at 8 p.m.\; and Sundays\, June 10 a
 nd 17 at 2 p.m. Kelsey Theatre is located on MCCC's West Windsor campus\
 , 1200 Old Trenton Road. A reception with the cast and crew follows the 
 opening night performance on June 8.\nOpening on Broadway in 2006\, this
  Jazz Age comedy starts out in the dingy apartment of the narrator (Man 
 in Chair)\, a mousy\, agoraphobic Broadway fanatic.&nbsp\; He is seeking
  a cure for the blues when he comes across an obscure 1928 musical comed
 y\, &ldquo\;The Drowsy Chaperone.&rdquo\;&nbsp\; As he begins to listen 
 to the score on his record player\, the characters from the show appear\
 , magically transforming his depressing surroundings into a sparkling Br
 oadway set.&nbsp\;\nFrom then on it&rsquo\;s a whole new tale of a celeb
 rity bride and her uproarious wedding day\, complete with gangsters dres
 sed as pastry chefs\, a lovesick showgirl\, and a self-proclaimed Latin 
 lover.&nbsp\; Audience members will enjoy a roller coaster ride of song\
 , dance and laughter\, as &ldquo\;The Drowsy Chaperone&rdquo\; presents 
 its amusing take on the adoring fans of musicals.\nCast members include 
 Mark Applegate of Hamilton as Man in Chair\; Cindy Chait of West Windsor
  as the Drowsy Chaperone\; Kimberly Suskind of Lawrenceville as Janet\; 
 T. Michael Fario of Philadelphia\, PA\, as Robert\; Chris Arena of Ewing
  as George\; Rob Gougher of Newtown\, PA\, as Aldolpho\; Tom Bessellieu 
 of Lawrenceville as Feldzieg\; Samantha Ricchiuti of Lawrenceville as Ki
