Hightstown HS Spirit Week Peps Up Students for Homecoming Game

Here is a look at what is going on in East Windsor, Hightstown, and Cranbury this week.

Columbus Day

All government offices, schools, and libraries are closed today in observance of Columbus Day. 

Government

East Windsor

  • The Zoning Board is meeting at the East Windsor Municipal Building at 8 p.m. on Thursday. 
Hightstown
  • The Animal Welfare Committee is meeting at the First Aid Building at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. 
  • The Planning Board is meeting at the First Aid Building at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 
  • The Harvest Fair Committee is meeting at Stiches-n-Ink at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. 
  • The Housing Authority is meeting at the Housing Authority Building at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. 
  • The Historic Preservation Commission is meeting at the First United Methodist Church at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

Cranbury

  • The Planning Board is meeting at Cranbury Town Hall at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. 

Schools

The East-Windsor Regional School District Board of Education is meeting in the Hightstown High School cafeteria at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. 

The Cranbury School Board of Education is meeting on Tuesday at 8 p.m.

The East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education is holding a “Candidates Night” at Hightstown High School at 7 p.m. on Thursday. The incumbents are Christine  Harrington and Robert Laverty. The challengers are Bertrand Fougnies and Lilia Gobaira. The moderator will be Karen Siracusa of the Lawrence League of Women Voters.   

Hightstown High School is having “Spirit Week” this week in anticipation of the Homecoming Football game. The Pep Rally will take place at the high school at 6 p.m. on Thursday, the football game is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, and the Homecoming dance will take place in the cafeteria of the high school on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. 

Election

The Special General Election for U.S. Senate will be held on Wednesday. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Not sure what your polling location is? Check here!
