Child Development Associate Certificates Awarded

Luz Horta, Executive Director of Better Beginnings Child Development Center, accredited by the National Association of the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), is pleased to announce 4 teachers: Andrea Espinal, Guadalupe Martinez, Bianca Rodriguez and Mariola Torres were awarded their CDA certification after 120 training hours in early childhood education and passing the national certification test by the Council of Professional Development, Washington, DC.  This was made possible by a grant from the Missions Board of the First Presbyterian Church of Hightstown.  Beyond the monetary value, the training contributes to the professional
development of early childhood educators and in ensuring the term
"quality" encompasses our mission.  Four other teachers: Aida Aguirre, Janice Jones, Deysi Leal and Jacqueline Pozuelos were awarded their CDA certifications earlier this year.  Currently all group teachers and assistant teachers are CDA certified, a mark of excellence for any early education facility.
