Mercer County Symphonic Band to Hold Winter Concert at MCCC's Kelsey Theatre Dec. 18

WEST WINDSOR – The Mercer County Symphonic Band will present its annual Winter Concert at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at Mercer County Community College’s Kelsey Theatre. The theatre is located on the college’s West Windsor campus, 1200 Old Trenton Road. Admission is free.

The 2013 Winter Concert program includes classical, contemporary, and pops selections, traditional marches, and a variety of seasonal favorites. The evening ends with the band’s traditional holiday sing-along and its signature signoff, "The Stars and Stripes Forever."

Under the direction of Dr. Lou Woodruff, the Mercer County Symphonic Band is celebrating its 33rd season with 60 participating musicians, with ages spanning seven decades. The Mercer County Symphonic Band is supported by the Arts and Communication Division of Mercer County Community College, with funding from the Mercer County Cultural and Heritage Commission, through a grant from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.

The Mercer County Symphonic Band is open to all interested musicians without audition. The band performs at community events, holiday celebrations, MCCC’s graduation ceremony, and other venues open to the public.
