Senior Housing Options for Adults class to be held this Saturday

Are you caring for an aging parent or do you know someone who is? Would you like to become educated on the care options available? Becoming educated allows all of us to have a greater understanding of available care options while navigating through the many stages of aging. The choices are as individual as the person and family involved. That is why Mercer County Community College’s Center for Continuing Studies is offering a one day class entitled “Senior Housing Options for Older Adults”.

“Senior Housing Options for Older Adults” will discuss the many options for senior living present in the greater Mercer County area. Representatives from different housing options will be in attendance as they share their insights and experience on housing choices and navigating the emotional waters of making that choice. There will also be an opportunity to discuss all of the information presented.

This class which is part of The Center for Continuing Studies’ Gerontology Certificate program will also be a productive addition to those who are in the caregiver profession and wish to know more about housing options for the aging. With the aging of Baby Boomers and the future decline of family caregivers, AARP forecasts a strong demand for professional caregivers. If you have been considering a career in gerontology the Center for Continuing Studies’ Certificate in Gerontology will provide you with the necessary tools to be part of this in-demand profession.
