Cranbury Day to Bring Smiles this Saturday

The highly-anticipated annual street fair descends on Cranbury on Saturday, Sept. 7.

It’s that time of year again—time to hit the streets for Cranbury Day. Cranbury’s annual street fair, organized and sponsored by the Cranbury Business and Professional Association, is scheduled for this Saturday and will take place rain or shine.

The day will kick off with a One Mile Fun Run at 8:15 a.m. and then the fifth annual Helene Cody Cranbury 5K at 9 a.m.

If you’re not interested in running, there is plenty to do at the street fair that will take place between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. There will be over 60 vendors at the fair including local businesses, clubs and organizations. There will also be local food vendors and organizations selling food to raise money. The Cranbury Fire Company will be selling hot dogs, the Cranbury Lions Club will be selling hamburgers, and the Knights of Columbus will be selling french fries.

The street fair will also feature kids activities, a pony ride, and live music. This year, Cranbury Day will be showcasing more music than ever before as eight different groups will be performing throughout the day and all throughout the town. A variety of music will be played as well—everything from traditional to jazz. The Mummers String Band will parade down the street for their third visit to Cranbury Day and DJ Brett Gash will be around all day long providing music, demonstrations, and hosting a dance contest.

Don’t get distracted by all the food and games though as the Cranbury Lions Clubs’ 2nd annual Rubber Duck Race is taking place on Brainerd Lake at 2 p.m.
