East Windsor Named 29th Safest NJ Community by Safewise

Safewise pairs data from the FBI’s Crime in the U.S. Report from 2011 with their own comprehensive investigation.

East Windsor Township has been named the 29th safest community in New Jersey earlier this week by the company Safewise.

Safewise, a company that compares and explains home security systems, formed a list of the 50 safest towns in New Jersey that have over 15,000 residents or more as of 2011. The list was created with Safewise’s own comprehensive investigation and data from the FBI’s 2011 Crime in the U.S. Report.

East Windsor was lauded by the report for its vast number of community-building programs and it’s business-government alliance.  Safewise also credited the township for it’s safe neighborhoods and pioneering ways of applying solutions for community problems.

Safewise named Mahwah, Sparta, and Warren as the top three safest communities in New Jersey.

Why some of these towns truly are some of the safest towns in New Jersey, others are not. It all depends on the honesty and accuracy of the police administrators entering the data. Liars figure and figures lie. If you score the monthly UCR report to a lower crime your community appears safer and thus, your community safety goes up. Why would any police department give false information? Politics!

Politics? In East Windsor? No Way! I guess we should ignore the recent heroin busts, bank robberies, pedophilia, hate crimes and auto/home break ins. "Safe' is a relative term, it doesn't mean we are not at risk only that we are slightly less risk that other towns.
