PEAC Health and Fitness to Display TASK Artists' Work

The TASK artwork has previously been on display at Cranbury's Gourgaud Gallery.

PEAC Health and Fitness will be getting some new artwork this fall from the A-TEAM, a group of artists from the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen.

The A-TEAM has grown to 38 members since its founding in 2001, and is comprised entirely of artists who regularly use the services of TASK. The artists are self-taught and meet weekly to create pieces using paint, pencil, ink, pastels, and found-object construction.

The A-TEAM also markets their own artwork, and holds monthly business meetings to plan shows, make policy and budgetary decisions, and host visits from other artists as well as from curators and other interested individuals in the community.

Their artwork is on display and available for purchase year-round at TASK. In addition to PEAC Fitness and Health, A-TEAM work is shown at the Reading Senior Center, The Henry J. Austin Health Clinics, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, the City of Trenton Municipal Court, and the Center for Health Care Strategies. It also has been on display at Cranbury's Gourgaud Gallery.

PEAC Health and Fitness will be showing A-TEAM artwork starting in September, which will be open to the public.
