St. Patrick's Day Party to Benefit Family of Fallen East Windsor Man

The Alchemist & Barrister in Princeton will donate proceeds to help the family of Michael Kenwood, an East Windsor resident who died during Hurricane Irene.

Men, are your beards getting long yet?

It's only days away from the end of The Alchemist & Barrister's Annual Long Beard Benefit at the pub's St. Patrick's Day Party on Sunday, March 17 beginning at 5 p.m.

Beards will be measured with prizes and bragging rights awarded for the Longest Beard, Ugliest Beard and Best Looking Beard.

The evening of festivities benefit a local charity and this year's recipients will be the wife and daughter of the late Michael Kenwood. An East Windsor resident and member of the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad, Kenwood lost his life during a rescue attempt during Hurricane Irene in 2011.

"Each year, our staff and patrons support a local charity that reflects the courage and commitment of our community," said A&B's Executive Chef/Owner Arthur Kukoda. "There is no better example of that courage and commitment than Michael Kenwood who lost his life trying to save another."

Last year, A&B's St. Patrick's Day celebration raised $10,000 for Derek's Dreams, to help 15-year old Derek DiGregorio who suffers from Ataxia Telangiectasia, a rare neurodegenerative disease.
