MCCC Invites Community to Celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Jan. 16

West Windsor, NJ: The community is invited to celebrate the rich legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during an event at Mercer County Community College’s James Kerney Campus on Monday, Jan. 16, at 2 p.m. in Kerney Hall.  Themed “I Can Succeed,” the event is free to the public. The James Kerney Campus is located at 102 North Broad Street in Trenton.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Mr. John E. Harmon, Sr., president of the African American Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey.  Mr. Harmon is an MCCC alumnus and advocate for the African American business community.

The event will include a mime group called Brothers of Faith, singer Taylor Stokes Pickett who is a talented MCCC music student, a dance troupe composed of members of the MCCC African American Student Organization, and a poetry contest and reading.
