Charlie Brown's Anticipates March 12 Reopening in East Windsor

Several upgrades have been made to the restaurant, according to a manager.

New décor, added booths and new menu items is what diners should expect when they visit Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse in East Windsor, according to a manager.

“It’s really they same that they remember, only better,” said General Manager Faith Ostroff. “Everything’s been enhanced to welcome them. The quality of the food has increased, everything has increased.”

The restaurant is anticipated to reopen on March 12 after it when CB Holding Corp. declared bankruptcy. It was taken over by a new company, CB Shared Services, and they made the decision to at the East Windsor’s location.

“The new company felt that this was a fabulous location and a great restaurant for us to come back to,” Ostroff said. “We value those guests that are in this area.”

Charlie Brown’s Steakhouse has hired more than 75 local employees and four salaried positions, Ostroff said, noting opportunities are still available and they will always be accepting applications and employ new people.

“The fact that we’re hiring people from the area is really great and we know that we have a strong presence here so we know we have a real good market,” Ostroff said.

The interior of the restaurant has been upgraded, with new flooring in the bar, added booths and a new, brighter décor, Ostroff said.

“The whole interior décor has been changed and I think that our guests are going to find it very welcoming and very homey, it’s very pretty” Ostroff said.

There have also been some additions to the menu, including more value offerings. There is a smaller duchess cut prime rib, more burgers and sandwiches, which do not include the salad bar, some new seafood items and healthier menu items, Ostroff said.

The salad bar will be what customers remember, with some new additions.

“We’ve tried to enhance everything to make it even better for our guests,” Ostroff said.

The restaurant still has the Handshake Club, and customers who were involved with it in the past will be able to reactivate their cards.

Charlie Brown’s will be open from 11:30 a.m. to midnight serving food, and the bar will be open until 1 or 1:30 a.m., depending on the night, Ostroff said. The restaurant will be able to accommodate events after it opens.

"We're excited to be back in the area and we're looking forward to not only welcoming our pasts guests but all of our new guests also," Ostroff said.
