Ground Round Sports Grille Opens on Route 130

The Ground Round Sports Grille has officially come to East Windsor. The new restaurant is located in the former Finnegan’s Restaurant at East Windsor Recreation Centers on Route 130 North, just south of Uncle Bob’s Self Storage.  

The official grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony was celebrated by  

Mayor Janice S. Mironov, Township Council members, East Windsor Recreation Center CEO Michael Little, Ground Round Director of Operations Dennis Tedaro and local Ground Round General Manager Marc Heifetz. 

The Ground Round Sports Grille is known for casual family dining. The restaurant’s menu offers specialty burgers, sandwiches and tex-mex, salads, as well as pasta, ribs, chicken, seafood, and steak entrees.

Ground Round Director of Operations Dennis Tedaro said that he was excited to bring the Ground Round brand to East Windsor. "The restaurant includes an extensive menu of fun food, deserts and drinks," Tedaro said. “For the sports enthusiast, we have 25 televisions which can be viewed from every seat while fans enjoy the NFL Sunday Ticket and other sporting events. We are THE family place to be, no question about it.”

East Windsor Recreation Center CEO Michael Little also stated his excitement about teaming up with the restaurant. “We want families and friends to come back and create new memories," Little said. "Ground Round restaurants today are stronger than ever because they are all Franchisee owned by local restaurant owners.”  

The business renovated the restaurant building with a new façade, a redesigned lounge area, a separate dining area with a television at each table, and new signage. Site improvements including a new parking lot and landscaping were also made to the location. 

“We enthusiastically welcome the new Ground Round restaurant to our community," Mayor Janice Mironov said. "The Ground Round name is synonymous with family dining and their partnering with our bowling center creates a fun atmosphere for people of all ages. Ground Round has plans to expand throughout the state, but their choice to open what is only their second New Jersey restaurant here illustrates East Windsor’s attractiveness to established successful companies.  The recent opening of several restaurants and businesses along Route 130 is a terrific signal of the current economic activity along this dynamic business corridor.”
