Ross Dress for Less Coming to Windsor Center

Ross is the largest off-price clothing and home fashion chain in the United States.

Ross Dress for Less has signed a 22,500-square-foot lease at Windsor Center, the shopping center located at the intersection of Route 130 and Princeton-Hightstown Road, according to Advance Realty. Ross Dress for Less is expected to take occupancy of the space in the second half of 2014.

Peter Cocoziello, Jr., the Advance Realty Asset Manager, said that the tenant was drawn to Windsor Center’s great visibility in a dynamic submarket and recent property upgrades, including significant façade improvements. Last year, a joint-venture partnership of Advance Realty and Structure Tone Equities acquired the center with plans to reposition it by investing significant capital to improve the appearance and operations. Other tenants in Windsor Center include PNC Bank, Staples, Payless Shoe Source, Retro Fitness, and Bottom Dollar Food.

“With this new addition, Windsor Center continues to cement its position as a leading retail destination for the residents of East Windsor and the surrounding region,” East Windsor Township Mayor Janice S. Mironov said. “Since purchasing the center last July, Advance Realty has brought in tenants that offer products and services that have become an essential part of the daily routine of many local residents.”

Advance teamed with commercial real estate brokerage firm CBRE to facilitate the transaction. CBRE Senior Vice President Jay Miller and Vice President John Krause represented Advance in lease negotiations, while CBRE Managing Director Jonathan Rome represented Ross Dress for Less.

“We are extremely pleased that popular retail chains such as Ross Dress for Less are attracted to the new and improved Windsor Center,” Cocoziello said. “The addition of the nation’s largest off-price apparel chain is a much welcomed addition to the tenant roster.“
