Judith L. Roman to be Honored at March of Dimes Signature Chefs Gourmet Gala

The March of Dimes is proud to announce that Judith L. Roman, president and CEO of AmeriHealth New Jersey, will be honored at the 2013 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Gourmet Gala on Monday October 21, 2013 at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, New Jersey from 6:00 to 9:30 pm.

The March of Dimes, along with sponsors confirmed to date - AmeriHealth New Jersey, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Investors Bank, KPMG, UnitedHealthcare, Goya, Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe, CB Richard Ellis, Altimira, Ivy Equities, PSEG, Sovereign Bank, United Water, Wainscot Media and R&R Marketing  - will be raising money to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

“As we celebrate the March of Dimes’ 75th anniversary this year, we are especially thrilled to honor Judith L. Roman,” said Gina Radice, March of Dimes Executive Director of the North Jersey Division. “Judith’s presence coupled with her generosity and heartfelt support will help increase awareness of our mission and bring much success to this event. We are thankful to Judith for accepting this role as our 2013 Honoree.”

With more than 30 years experience, Roman has watched the health care industry transform and has lead AmeriHealth New Jersey to do the same since she assumed the role of president and CEO in 2006. She is committed to making a positive impact on the way health care is delivered in the state as well as giving back to her community. She currently sits on a number of boards for varying organizations to help to make a positive impact on the people and businesses across New Jersey and has earned numerous honors and awards for her business and community leadership.

“Every day the March of Dimes works hard to improve the health and wellness of women and children while helping provide access to health care coverage ─ a mission that closely mirrors our own at AmeriHealth New Jersey,” said Roman. “I commend the March of Dimes for their tireless efforts, which have had a positive impact on so many thankful families.”

The Signature Chefs Gourmet Gala, a  newly created, premier event combines North Jersey’s 30 year Harvest Ball Black Tie Gala with the North Jersey Signature Chefs Gourmet Gala for an elegant, upscale evening of fine dining, dancing, ballroom dancing demonstrations and enjoying  top of  the line as well as the newest wines, spirits and liqueurs. Bud Maltin and his orchestra will be on hand. This gourmet extravaganza will feature the skills and creativity of approximately 25 -30 of the finest chefs and hottest restaurants in North Jersey. There will also be the opportunity to bid on silent auction and culinary packages.
