Turner Syndrome Foundation to Exhibit at Three NJ AAP Conferences

The Turner Syndrome Foundation will be exhibiting this fall at three American Academy of Pediatrics conferences in September and October. These conferences will be focused on three different topics including school health, vaccines for children, and second year pediatric residents and are annual conferences attended by the foundation every year.

 The first conference is the Annual Resident Career Day on September 17 which allows second year pediatric residents to learn more about career options and how to translate their education into practical experience. It is attended by almost 100 pediatricians and pediatric residents and will be held this year at the Hilton Garden Inn in Edison, New Jersey.

 The second conference is the 9th Annual Vaccines for Children program on September 25 which will focus this year on the state of immunizations. The event is hosted by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the New Jersey Department of Health and has several discussion topics including:

The conference is expected to be attended by over 250 healthcare providers and will be held at the National Conference Center in East Windsor, New Jersey.

 The final conference is the 22nd Annual School Health conference on October 16 which will focus this year on school health challenges and preparing for the unexpected. The event has several discussion topics including:

·         Disaster preparedness

·         Substance abuse

·         Oral health

·         Chronic abdominal pain

·         GLBTQ issues

The conference is expected to be attended by over 400 healthcare professionals including pediatricians, school nurses and physicians, public health officials, child care consultants, and allied health professionals and will be held at the Palace at Somerset Park in Somerset, New Jersey.
