Toms River Squeaks by Storm 1-0

A slow start cost Storm this week as Toms River came away with the 1-0 victory.  Keeper Nikki Masone played a strong first half assisted by continued strong play by sweeper Danielle Faup.  Toms River took advantage of a scramble off a throw-in for their only goal.  The offense struggled early but really took control in the second half with Adriana Rocco and Grace O'Leary generating several strong runs.  Katie Bertrand was outstanding generating offense from the defensive line with her finest chance ending as she was run over in the offensive box.  Keeper Mary Kate Harnett shut Toms River out in the second half at one point charging up to the 12 stuffing an opposing breakaway.
