Area Faces Severe Thunderstorm Warning
The National Weather Service's alert is in effect until 2:15 p.m.
The National Weather Service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for the area, that is in effect until 2:15 p.m. Winds are estimated at between 50 and 60 mph and residents are advised they may cause damage.
Little or no lightning may occur, the NWS warns, but do not wait to hear thunder before taking cover.
The storm warning is in effect until 4 p.m. for Southern New Jersey.
