Capital Health Appoints East Windsor Resident Vice President of Patient Services

Eileen Horton in charge of patient care and emergency medical services, among other responsibilities.

East Windsor resident Eileen M. Horton was appointed vice president of patient services and chief nursing officer for Capital Health, according to a news release.

“Horton will continue developing and implementing nursing strategy and system policies to ensure the high quality patient care that Capital Health has developed over the years,” the news release said.

Her responsibilities include patient care services, emergency medical services, adult and pediatric clinics and the emergency departments, the release said.

Horton most recently served as vice president of Strategic Transformation at Capital Health, started her career as a maternity nurse and is a member of organizations including the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the Association for Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau. 

Graduating with a bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration from Graceland College, Horton also completed a Master of Science in Management degree at Thomas Edison State College, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and received a diploma in Nursing from St. Vincent’s Hospital School of Nursing.
