After Superstorm Sandy swept through our area, members of the East Windsor community pooled their resources to help those hardest hit by the disaster.
East Windsor Mayor Janice Mironov has applauded these members of the community for their generosity.
“Kudos to the Riviera at East Windsor, and certainly the many other residents, who have involved themselves and generously donated to support those who currently need our help,” Mironov said during her November 28 “Spotlight East Windsor with Mayor Mironov” broadcast.
Riviera at East Windsor Board Members and homeowners sponsored a relief drive on Nov. 19 to assist victims of Superstorm Sandy, raising more than $4,000 and collecting more than 200 bags of clothing, food, cleaning supplies, and other miscellany.
They delivered the collected items to the American Legion Post No.148 the next day.
“The collective enthusiasm demonstrated by the Riviera at East Windsor Homeowners Board, Social Committee, and residents to assist families in our hard-hit state truly represents our proud sense of community here in East Windsor,” Mironov said in a news release. “We encourage all East Windsor residents to continue our help and support for those in need.”
