Cranbury and East Windsor to hold annual events

As part of a day to honor those who served our country, local towns are planning to hold parades and services on Monday.

The Cranbury Lions Club will hold a parade down main street on Monday afternoon followed by a service at Memorial Park near the firehouse. The parade is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. on South Main Street and Station Road. Participants in the parade will include local veterans and musical performers including a marching band and a pipe band as well as Civil War re-enactors among others.

The Hightstown-East Windsor Memorial Day Parade is also scheduled to be held on Monday. The festivities will start at 9 a.m. on Stockton Street and wind through the downtown area. Veterans, first responders and musical groups as well as scouts and other local organizations will walk the parade route in the annual event.
