NJ Transit Adds Services for the Holiday
Kids 11 and under ride free on NJ Transit during the holiday.
For the Thanksgiving holiday weekend, NJ Transit is extending train, bus and light rail service, according to a news release.
On Wednesday, increased service will start at 1 p.m. from New York Penn Station, Newark Penn Station and Hoboken Terminal on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast, Raritan Valley, Morris & Essex and Pascack Valley lines.
"The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is typically the airport rail station’s busiest day of the year, with ridership levels about twice that of a typical weekday," the release said.

Thursday transportation will use a weekend/major holiday schedule, and Friday will go back to the weekday schedule, with an increase in service into New York.
Bus service will also increase to shopping areas throughout the state, including the Garden State Plaza, IKEA Paramus, Jersey Gardens, Livingston Mall, Harmon Meadow/Mill Creek in Secaucus, Willowbrook Mall, Wayne Towne Center Mall and West Belt Mall.
