Hightstown Intersection Changes from 2-way to 4-way Stop

The intersection of South Main Street and Ward Street changed from a two-way stop to a four-way stop Thursday after a studied showed high truck and pedestrian volume at the intersection.

The change comes after an engineer from Mercer County studied traffic at the intersection and recommended the four-way stop, according to a resolution passed by the Borough Council in June of last year.  The traffic came from both trucks and pedestrians walking to and from the , the resolution said.
