Update: Power Restored in East Windsor, Hightstown

Power was knocked out in the area following Saturday's storm.

Update 11:30 p.m. Monday: All power has been restored in the area, according to JCP&L.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) reported 10 customers in East Windsor and less than five in Hightstown remained without power as of around 7:45 a.m. Monday morning.

Most customers were restored Sunday following a storm Saturday night that knocked out power to more than 300 customers. Those without power can go to ShopRite in East Windsor and receive one bag of ice and two gallons of water at no charge, according to JCP&L.

Update 2:15 p.m. Sunday: Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) said 149 customers in East Windsor and 46 customers in Hightstown remain without power and spokesman Ron Morano said most customers should be restored by midnight.

Those without power can go to ShopRite in East Windsor and receive one bag of ice and two gallons of water at no charge, according to JCP&L.

Update 7:40 a.m. Sunday: Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) reported 244 East Windsor customers and 52 Hightstown customers remain without power.

A severe thunderstorm may have brought relief from high temperatures, but it also left hundreds without power in East Windsor and Hightstown on Saturday night.

Jersey Central Power & Light (JCP&L) reported 352 customers were in the dark in East Windsor and 51 in Hightstown as of 11:30 p.m.

Around 9:30 p.m. Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG) said between 501 and 2,000 customers without power in Cranbury and less than 500 households were without service in East Windsor, but now reported service has been restored.

JCP&L makes information on outages available on its website, as does PSEG.
