Valentine's Day Release for Cranbury Resident's Book

The book, Until The Next Time, is available online, in stores and on eReaders starting today.

For Cranbury resident Kevin Fox, there was never that one moment when he decided, “I’m going to write a book,” but instead it was years of stories that came together in his head, eventually developing the plotline for Until the Next Time.

This historical fiction book was inspired by both Fox’s grandfather’s stories from Ireland, and several family members' stories from their tenure at the New York Police Department.

He used these stories to inspire his dual plotline, which alternate chapters and eventually start to blend. By the end of the book, the stories come together, Fox said.

Although the book is full of adventurous twists and turns, Fox said he didn’t leave out the romance, which coincides with the Valentine’s Day release date.

“What we’re hoping is the romance part of the book will hit an audience that likes that kind of thing, the historical part of it will grab another piece of the audience and then since a good part of it is set in Ireland, my personal hope is that it will stay at the front of the stores until St. Patty’s Day on March 17th and get some people to buy it for that reason as well,” Fox said.

Although Fox is a writer by trade, this is his first novel. For about 18 years Fox has written for television and film, but said he is most proud of the book. After putting his fingers to the keyboard, Fox said the book took him about four or five months to write.

Fox described the book in an email:

“Sean Corrigan finds out that an uncle he never knew he had was a New York City Police Officer accused of murder in 1972. His uncle fled to Ireland, where he was killed after he was accused of working with the IRA. Sean decides to find out what really happened to his uncle and journeys to Ireland to discover the same things his uncle did: That everything is not as it seems on the surface, that his uncle’s death was not the end of the mystery surrounding his crimes, and that love is never truly lost as long as it is remembered.”

He notes that all of the major events in the book are historically accurate.

Fox will be doing a talk and book signing at the on March 2, and will be traveling around the United States for book signings and readings. The trade paperback book is $15.95.
