Week in Review: East Windsor Police Chief Retires, Gunshot Fired in Hightstown

East Windsor Police Chief’s colleges, friends and family celebrated his retirement and recognized his tenure at the department. 

A gunshot was fired while two robbers attempted to steal a man’s car at the Deerfield Apartment complex Wednesday night, according to Hightstown Police.

The Route 33 bridge project scheduled to start Thursday has been pushed back until next week, according to the New Jersey Department of Transportation.

Seven unlocked cars were burglarized last week in East Windsor between Tuesday and Friday, according to police.
