Week in Review: Hightstown Restoring Records, East Windsor Names Police Chief

A review of this week's top stories.

Nine months after devastating , poured several feet of water inside Borough Hall and sent papers floating down the creek to Cranbury, a company has been called in to begin the process of restoring the borough’s records.

Less than two months after the East Windsor’s police chief announced his retirement, the Township has appointed his replacement, selecting Lt. James Monahan as the new chief effective July 1. 

Voters will decide between four candidates for three open seats on the East Windsor Regional School District Board of Education in the November election.

Downtown Hightstown will kick off the fourth annual farmers market on Friday, bringing back many of the booths and entertainment from last summer, while adding more family activities.

Three passengers robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint Monday night at the Windsor Castle apartments in East Windsor, police said.
