Weekend Activities for Kids and Families

Local events for June 10-12.

Here are some ways to get your family out and about for the weekend.

Friday

, 3:30 p.m., , 65 Witherspoon St., Princeton. Children and teens can drop in to play board and video games and ping pong for 90 minutes on Friday afternoons after school in the Activity Room.

, 3-4 p.m., , 2751 US Highway 1, Lawrence Township. Children can enjoy a self-directed craft for ages 4-10 with a caregiver. No registration is required.

, 6:30-7:30 p.m., 109 Mercer St., Hightstown. Local magicians are invited to perform a little magic on our stage for all ages to enjoy at this free, family-friendly event.

8:30-10 p.m., , 2083 Lawrenceville Road, Lawrence Township. Enter campus via south gate and park in south lots. Movie will be shown on Campus Green (same location as the July 4 fireworks). Bring a blanket and picnic, or purchase hot dogs, ice cream, kettle corn and candy from local vendors. 

Saturday

, 11 a.m., , Cranbury. Reenactors, portraying New Jersey’s 14th Regiment, Company H, will dedicate the new monument after camping overnight next to the .

, 2 p.m.–5 p.m., , 69 N. Main St, Cranbury. Proceeds will be used for the cleaning and repair of the 1866 Civil War Soldiers Monument in Brainerd Cemetery, behind the First Presbyterian Church of Cranbury.

, 1-6 p.m., College Road W & US Highway 1, Princeton (Forrestal Village). Rain date is Sunday, June 12. Proceeds from this event will go to Foster and Adoptive Family Services' many programs that directly impact the lives of children in foster care in New Jersey. Admission to the show is $2.50 for Adults ($3.00 day of show) and $1.00 for children 12 and under.

Sunday

, 3-6 p.m., , 101 N. Main St., Hightstown. Car enthusiasts will cruise down memory lane admiring flashy street machines, hot rods and classic cars of yesteryear while enjoying food and drink specials. The festivities also include contests, face painting for the kids, giveaways and live music.
